E-Newsletter Manager

E-Newsletter Manager is a practice-development tool that enables law firms to create and manage e-mail marketing efforts with existing and potential clients. Use this guide for step-by-step instructions to personalize your newsletters with firm introduction and closing content, change the monthly send date your newsletter distributes, manage subscribers and optionally view reports.

MANAGING YOUR E-NEWSLETTERS

E-Newsletter Manager allows you to access the monthly e-newsletters set-up on your account using the Manage E-Newsletters function. In this area you can edit, suspend, and view e-newsletter content and last edited date. Only e-newsletters not yet sent display in Manage E-Newsletters and can be deleted.

If you are not on the Manage E-Newsletters page, select it from the E-Newsletters menu.

To edit an e-newsletter:

  1. Click the icon in the "Edit E-Newsletter" column of the table.
  2. Follow the separate instructions under editing an e-newsletter.

To suspend one or more e-newsletters:

  1. Check the box or boxes in the "Suspend" column of the table.
  2. Click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.

To preview an e-newsletter as it appears in its delivered format:

  1. Select the e-newsletter title link from the "Preview E-Newsletter" column of the table.
  2. The e-newsletter will display in a separate browser window.

  1. If you are not on E-Newsletter Manager's "Edit an E-Newsletter" page, select "Manage E-Newsletters" from the "E-Newsletters" menu. Then click the "Edit E-Newsletter" icon next to the newsletter title you wish to edit.
  2. Change information in any of the following fields:
    • E-Newsletter Title: customize the title of the e-newsletter by typing inside the text box; click the Set Title Back to Default button to return to the default title (<Firm Name> <Topic> <Month Year>)
    • E-Newsletter Frequency: select the day of the week from the drop-down box, and indicate which time of the month to send your e-newsletter
    • Design: select the type of design for the e-newsletter
    • E-Newsletter Introduction: customize the introduction text of the e-newsletter
    • E-Newsletter Closing: customize the closing text of the e-newsletter
    • Unsubscribe Text: customize the unsubscribe text
    • Sender Email Address: your email address (example format firstname.lastname@company.com)
    • From: firm name
    • Subject: subject line of the e-newsletter (defaults to E-Newsletter Title and Issue)
  3. Click the "Save Changes" button to save your changes.
  4. Click the "Preview Text" button to preview the e-newsletter in text format.
  5. Click the "Preview HTML" button to preview the e-newsletter in HTML (Web-based) format.
